Voice of the People 2005 - Two thirds of the global population declare themselves religious people 16 November 2005
As part of the unique Voice of the People survey, Gallup International measured religiosity across the globe. Two thirds (66%) of the world citizens who participated in the survey, declared to be religious, irrespective of whether they attend a place of worship. A quarter (25%), on the contrary, mentioned they were not religious. Only 6% claimed to be convinced atheists. In Russia religiosity level is lower than that in the world and makes up 57%. Every third Russian citizen considers himself not religious (36%), and every twentieth (4%) - a convinced atheist...
Every second Russian citizen does not believe in honesty of the authorities 31 October 2005
52% of the Russians think that no power structure can be considered honest. The distribution of the other opinions is the following: every third respondent considers President honest. Supreme Court follows him with 10% of voices, General Prosecutor’s Office is considered fair by 6% of those interviewed and Government is called honest by 5% of the respondents. Federation Council and State Duma are trusted by 3% and 2% respectively...
Inflation makes the Russians reconsider their household budgets 27 October 2005
Price growth has hit the pocket of every fifth Russian consumer quite considerably. Current economic situation made 17% of the Russians deprive themselves of some food products, 37% said that they have to redistribute their family budget in favour of increase of expenses for food and the most necessary things. Every fourth respondent (25%) has to purchase clothes rarer and spend less for entertainment. And income of only 5% of those surveyed allows them not to be disturbed by inflation...
Voice of the People survey results: UNO is the most popular international organization 24 October 2005
Out of all existing international organizations United Nations Organization enjoys most popularity. It is well-known to four out of five participants of annual Voice of the People-2005 survey (83%) conducted by Gallup International. And almost half of those aware of UNO give positive evaluation to the activity of this organization, one third of the respondents have neutral attitude and answers with negative evaluations made up a bit more than 10 %. United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) yields to UNO in popularity – 68% of the respondents from 65 countries know this organization. Though share of positive evaluations about UNICEF activity is record-breaking – three fourth (75%) of those aware of the activity of the Fund approve of it...

The Russians about BTL-actions: almost half of the consumers take part in them, one third purchasing advertised goods afterwards 11 October 2005
Experts give different evaluations of the volume of Russian BTL market, varying from $650 mln up to $1,5 bln. According to the latest data of Russian Agency of Marketing Services (RAMS) in 2004 it made up 1,08 bln with 29% acceleration if compared to 2003. So the experts expect the volume of Russian BTL market to reach $1,7 bln by 2007. According to RAMS, fundings divide between BTL and ATL the following way - 27% and 73% respectively (Compare – in Europe and USA BTL fundings have reached the level of 60%). But how are these BTL-expenses assigned by the advertisers justified? What is the consumers’ attitude towards BTL-actions? Do they influence consumers’ choice? Do consumers realize BTL-actions’ influence?...
